Our agency aims to protect, support, and empower children and families that become involved in the Child Welfare system through life circumstances which may include abuse, neglect, or family instability.
We are committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and healthy development of children through comprehensive, compassionate, and professional case management while utilizing community-based services. Children are served in both in-home and out of home environments which include relative/nonrelative/kinship homes or in out of home care either foster care, shelter care or residential care. Our primary goal is to enhance our families’ lives and ensure they do not return to care.
Safe Children Coalition has a Medical Team and a Behavioral Healthcare Team that provide care coordination for children, young adults and their families. This includes children who were adopted through the child welfare system, those in extended foster care or independent living services, and those participating in the Guardian Assistance Program.

The Safe Children Coalition Fatherhood Program aims to support fathers and father figures to be meaningfully engaged with their children and assist in strengthening parenting skills through meaningful connections and peer support.
In this program, the fatherhood engagement coordinator works to build relationships with these men, to help identify their needs, assist fathers in accessing services, addressing the gaps identified in services and identify opportunities to appropriately meet their unique needs. Needs may include assisting them in gaining higher education, housing, and employment.
