Prevention starts with Community.
Our Community Prevention Programs are designed to address root causes of issues that disrupt families by empowering families and building protective factors within the families and communities we serve. By addressing the root causes of family stress—poverty, isolation, mental health, and trauma—we create lasting change. Our work reduces the need for child protective and juvenile justice services and keeps families together, where children grow best.
We collaborate with schools, community partners, mental health providers, medical health providers, and other local organizations to offer:
- Parenting Support & Education
Evidence-based, one-on-one coaching, and peer support groups that help parents gain confidence, reduce stress, and build healthy family dynamics. - Home Visiting Services
Trained professionals meet families where they are—literally—offering guidance, developmental screenings, and emotional support in the comfort of their homes.
- Community Resource Linkages
Staff provide linkages to local resources like food, diapers, school supplies, and referrals for mental health or substance use support.
- Youth & Teen Programs
Our counseling programs offer compassionate emotional support and practical conflict resolution skills to help young people navigate life’s challenges, strengthen their resilience, and cultivate healthy relationships. Through safe, affirming spaces, we promote personal growth, meaningful connection, and a strong sense of belonging during the most formative stages of their development.
