In around two years hundreds of at-risk youth will have a new, safe place to go to in Sarasota. This morning Safe Children Coalition broke ground on their youth facility, located at 4409 Sawyer Rd, Sarasota.

The local child welfare agency breaking ground on the nearly 9000 square-foot, hurricane proof building. The temporary emergency housing will support youth ages 10 to 17, with thousands of beds available a night.
