Board of Directors

Serves as the Board Chair. Mr. Goodrich is an attorney and shareholder at Bentley Goodrich Kison, P.A., a commercial litigation law firm located in Sarasota, FL. Mr. Goodrich handles cases involving business litigation, real estate litigation, trust litigation, and general civil litigation in state courts, federal courts, and in arbitration. Mr. Goodrich, an AV Preeminent-rated litigator, has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyer Rising Star, Florida Trend Legal Elite “Up and Comer”, an “Elite Top Attorney” by SRQ Magazine, a 35-under-35 award winner by SRQ Magazine, and by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch. He is actively involved in the Sarasota County Bar Association, having served as President of the Young Lawyers Division in 2019. In his free time, Mr. Goodrich enjoys spending time with his wife, Sasha, and two kids, Noah (3) and Asher (8 months).

Serves as the Board Vice Chair. Mr. Lipton has spent nearly 30 years in the healthcare industry, working for national organizations in both the home health and physician management fields.   He and his family are passionate about the local area and support a variety of community based and environmental causes.   Recently Mr. Lipton left the healthcare industry to focus on opening his own business and supporting local activities.

Serves as the Board Treasurer. Mr. Gamelin is owner, CFO Integrity LLC with years of experience in finance, accounting and management and over 30 years as a CPA. Mr. Gamelin has adopted 3 children and continues to have a passion for helping children.

Mr. Rahn is V.P Mortgage Banker for Center State Bank with 28 years in Sarasota/Manatee. He has served in multiple capacities with the Florida Home Builders Association and currently serves on the Manatee County Planning Committee.

Mr. Alexander has had a 40+ year career in a variety of clinical and administrative capacities in behavioral health. Mr. Alexander retired in 2018 as the Executive Director at Bayside Health at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

Ken Alexander

Mr. Clark is currently the Principal at Rowlett Middle Academy in Bradenton, FL and has over 15 years of experience as an educator in Manatee county.  He is from a family of educators in Manatee County and has the fundamental belief in teaching the whole child and that all children can learn.  He has first-hand knowledge of how life events can directly impact a student’s ability to learn and grow both academically and socially. Mr. Clark is passionate about creating safe, positive, and supportive learning environments for students to enable them to have bright futures and become contributing members in our community.

Arlene Buckmaster is a dedicated real estate professional with HouseMax Realty. She serves in her community as a sustaining member of the Junior League and is passionate about helping organizations who promote the well-being of children in our local community, like Safe Children Coalition. She is an active member of the Sarasota real estate industry and as a native, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the board and her clients.

Ms. Chris Stobaugh is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Gulf Coast Community Foundation where she has given expert direction for the foundation’s financial, fund accounting, and investment activities since August 2018. She has an extensive background in corporate finance and accounting, and previously served for eight years as CFO of Grain Management, a private equity firm with $750 million in assets under management. She is passionate about children’s and women’s causes and brings with her several decades of board experience for a variety of local nonprofit organizations.

CHRISTINE STOBAUGH

Ms. Jones, together with her husband, co-founded “Bridge A Life” that provides hope and support for children and families experiencing relational trauma. Ms. Jones has been a foster parent and has adopted 3 children. She is passionate about the work of SCC.

Ann Marie Jones

Mr. Gambrell is currently the Director of Student Inclusive Success for the Office of Student Success at the University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee Campus. Previously he served as the Assistant Director for the Office of Student Services, where he managed the Office of Student Services, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Commencement, and other programs.  A marquis of his career was helping the Student Government Association to secure a $26.9 million grant for the campus. Mr. Gambrell is a proud Kappa Man and has served for many years with our Achievers Advisory group. He is passionate about helping students and children of all ages succeed.

DARREN GAMBRELL

Mr. Goldstein, retired, is the former CEO of Menorah Life in St. Petersburg, FL. He has 40 years of healthcare administration experience in senior living and hospital environments, and spent the past 24 years directing operations, managing a major expansion, and developing new programs.  He brings with him a passion for high quality, individualized, person centered care.

ROB GOLDSTEIN

Dr. Couzelis founded MediFit Corporate Services, Inc. which provided worksite health promotion, physical fitness, health screening, and web-based behavior change services. At the time of his retirement in 2008, the company had grown to more than 2,000 employees and was serving over 100 companies and community organizations in 33 states. Paul is passionate about supporting youth to give them the best opportunity possible for a successful future.
